Semiya Payasam or Vermicelli Payasam is a simple, yet delicious festive pudding made of vermicelli, milk, dry fruits and flavored with cardamom and\/or saffron. <\/h2>\n

Ingredients<\/h3>\n
\n
5<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Ghee<\/span><\/div>\n
10<\/span> <\/span> Cashews <\/span><\/div>\n
10<\/span> <\/span> Raisins <\/span><\/div>\n
½<\/span> cup<\/span> Vermicelli <\/span><\/div>\n
1.50<\/span> cups<\/span> Milk<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> pinch<\/span> Saffron<\/span><\/div>\n
6<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Sugar (As per taste)<\/span><\/div>\n
½<\/span> tsp<\/span> Cardamom Powder<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Roast the Cashews and Raisins in Ghee till it’s golden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Making of the Payasam<\/div>\n
\n
\n

Add 2 Tsp of Ghee in a heated pan. Roast the Vermicelli for 2-3 mins in Ghee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pour the milk into the pan. Mix it well with the Vermicelli and cook it on medium flame till the Vermicelli is cooked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It’s now time to add the strands of saffron, sugar, cardamom powder, and half tsp Ghee(Optional) and cook it for 2-3 mins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add the Roasted Cashews and Raisins and mix them well and enjoy the
