This chutney is prepared by roasting onions and roasted chana dal and spices. This white chutney doesn’t have coconut.<\/h2>\n

Ingredients<\/h3>\n

1.50<\/span> tsp<\/span> Oil<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> <\/span> Onion,large<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> <\/span> inch, Ginger<\/span><\/div>\n
5<\/span> <\/span> Garlic cloves<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> <\/span> Green chilli<\/span><\/div>\n
½<\/span> cup<\/span> Roasted gram<\/span><\/div>\n
Tamarind, small lemon size<\/span><\/div>\n
Salt, as per taste<\/span><\/div>\n
Tempering<\/div>\n
1<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Oil<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> tsp<\/span> Mustard seeds<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> tsp<\/span> Cumin seeds<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> tsp<\/span> Urad dal<\/span><\/div>\n
6<\/span> <\/span> -8, Curry Leaves<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In a pan, add Oil. Heat the oil and then add onions. Saute the onions till translucent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To this add Garlic, Ginger, and green chili. Cook them for 2-3 mins<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Now add roasted gram and saute till the raw smell has gone. Once the gram is roasted add tamarind and salt. Saute them for 2 2 to 3 mins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Now switch off the flame and set aside the ingredients to allow them to cool down. Later grind them to a fine paste.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In a tadka pan, add oil. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Let splutter and then pour it onto the chutney.
