Wash the yellow moong dal and set it aside.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
In a pan, add water and yellow moong dal. Cook it for 15 to 20 mins on low to medium flame till its soft and fluffy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
On a hot pan, add Ghee and Cumin seeds. Saute for 10 secs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Later add chopped Onions and saute till golden brown.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Add Turmeric powder and red chilli powder and saute for a minute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
To this add tomatoes and cook it till it’s soft and mushy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Once the tomatoes have turned mushy, add the cooked dal into the onion-tomato base and give it a mix.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
To the dal add salt and mix it well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Cook the dal curry for another 15-20 mins till the dal starts to become thick.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Moong Dal curry is now ready.
