Soya masala fry is a popular dry curry recipe prepared with soya chunks and tossed in coconut milk gravy. It is typically served as a side dish or it can also be served as a starter or appetizer.
\nIn this recipe, the soya chunks are soaked in water for at least 2 hours. The water is then squeezed off the chunks and cooked in the onion tomato and coconut milk gravy till it\u2019s dry. It’s an excellent and delicious appetizer.

100<\/span> g<\/span> Soya Chunks<\/span><\/div>\n
3<\/span> tbsp<\/span> OIl<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> tsp<\/span> Fennel seeds<\/span><\/div>\n
4<\/span> <\/span> -5 Garlic cloves<\/span><\/div>\n
2<\/span> <\/span> Dry red chillies<\/span><\/div>\n
6<\/span> <\/span> -8 Curry leaves<\/span><\/div>\n
2<\/span> <\/span> Onions, chopped<\/span><\/div>\n
1<\/span> tsp<\/span> Ginger garlic paste<\/span><\/div>\n
2<\/span> <\/span> Tomatoes, chopped<\/span><\/div>\n
½<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Red chili powder<\/span><\/div>\n
1.50<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Coriander powder<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> tsp<\/span> Turmeric powder<\/span><\/div>\n
Salt<\/span><\/div>\n
¼<\/span> cup<\/span> Water<\/span><\/div>\n
¾<\/span> cup<\/span> Coconut Milk<\/span><\/div>\n
¾<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Black pepper powder<\/span><\/div>\n
Coriander leaves<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Soak Soya chunks for at least 2 hours. After 2 hours, squeeze out the absorbed water from the Soya chunks and set aside.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On a hot pan, add oil, fennel seeds, and Garlic cloves. Saute and cook them for 2 mins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Now add dry red chillies, curry leaves and Onions. Saute and cook till light golden brown.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add ginger-garlic paste to the sauteed onions and cook it for a minute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add red chili powder, coriander powder, salt. Saute for a min and Cook till the tomatoes turn mushy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To this add water, coconut milk and give it a mix. Cook the curry for oil is released.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Now add the soaked Soya chunks and Water. Mix them well and cook them till soya chunks are cooked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add black pepper powder and cook till it turns dry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Garnish with coriander leaves.
