1<\/span> tbsp<\/span> Grated Coconut (Fresh\/Frozen)<\/span><\/div>\n
3-4, Green Chilies<\/span><\/div>\n
½<\/span> tsp<\/span> Mustard Seeds<\/span><\/div>\n
A Pinch, Asafoetida (Hing)<\/span><\/div>\n
½<\/span> tsp<\/span> Sugar<\/span><\/div>\n
5-6, Curry Leaves<\/span><\/div>\n
Cooking Oil<\/span><\/div>\n
Salt, To Taste<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Heat oil in a pan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and let them crackle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add the curry leaves, sliced green chilies, and asafoetida, and fry for a few seconds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Add the moong dal and fry for about 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pour in 2 cups of water and add salt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cover the pan with a lid and cook the dal until tender but not mushy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Stir in the sugar and mix well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
