Lemongrass Tea: A Refreshing and Aromatic Drink for Any Time of Day

Lemongrass tea has multiple benefiting properties such as improve oral health, lower cholesterol, relieve bloating etc. It looks exactly like a long grass with a fresh lemon/citrus in taste and smell. Lemongrass tea offers a refreshing minty and lemony flavour.

 2 Lemongrass Stalks
 800 ml Water
 ½ inch, Ginger, Crushed (Optional)
 3 Cardamom pods (Optional)
 1 tsp Honey, per glass

Take 2 Lemongrass stalks and crush/bruise them to release oil an juices. Knot the lemongrass leaves and set it aside.

In a sauce pan, add water. Add in bruised Lemongrass stalks, knotted leaves, Ginger and Cardamom pods.

Bring them all to a boil and simmer for 5 to 6 mins.

Lemongrass tea is now ready to be served. Strain the tea and add 1 tsp of Honey per glass and serve.

Other option is to add a 1 tsp of Lemon to tea along with honey and serve.
