Moong Dal Curry

Yellow moong daal curry is a basic and comforting dal curry usually prepared at every Indian home. This is how the daal curry was prepared at my home. It’s simple, easy to prepare, and extremely delicious when served along with hot steaming rice and jeera rice. In this curry, yellow moong dal is cooking separately until it’s soft and fluffy. Later it is mixed with ghee, onion, and tomato-base. It is then cooked till it’s thick and starchy. The curry is tangy and a little spicy with flavors of ghee oozing when served with rice.
